BE A HOST OR A PATRON

Hosts

A Host is an entity (professional association, non-profit organization, alumni group, economic development agency, publication, media outlet, or educational institution) that promotes and facilitates access to BrainFood among its constituents. It also encourages its members, clients or students to "cook up" BrainFood for distribution to entrepreneurs, business leaders, and educators. Materials provided through the on-line BrainFood FreeMarket are available globally at no cost.

A Click-to Host offers free BrainFood podcasts and/or printed materials on a Host-branded BrainFoodToGo.com portal that is clicked to via an icon on the Host's principal web site. This private-labeled, click-to “home page” offers valuable know-how to business owners and entrepreneurs and features the Host’s logo, branding, and desired content and selected links to other web sites. It allows the Host to offer continuing subscriptions for audio and video materials (RSS feeds) to its clients, prospects, and members as part of an on-going "constituent relationship program." Some printed and recorded BrainFood materials contain short "blinks" that identify PaItrons who have financial facilitated the BrainFood offered.

A Click-through Host directs visitors to a Host's principal web site from which free downloads of print and digital BrainFood can be accessed through a simple re-direct on a generic “order” page. Patrons A "Patron" is an individual corporation, professional practice, affinity group, trade association, or non-profit organization that financially facilitates the creation and free distribution of BrainFoodToGo.com content among its customers, clients, members, or prospects.

In exchange for underwriting the creation and dissemination of BrainFood, a Patron is publicly recognized by virtue of a “Blink” embedded in the print or digital material is has subsidized. In essence a blink is a very short, unobtrusive "mini-commercial" that can appear as a logo, print tag, or audio/video message that identifies the Patron and its contact information (e.g. URP, e-mail address, telephone number, Facebook page, social media connection, etc. Patrons can also purchase (at cost) BrainFood materials with their branding for dissemination to clients, members, or prospects through their proprietary distribution networks or through the auspices of BrainFoodToGo.com and its affiliates.

Patroned Participation enables Patrons to subsidize print and digital materials for re-sale through their facilities. The Patron establishes the price and merchandising methodology it wishes to employ. An example would be the sale of e-books or audio books through a retail Patron's chain of stores. The Patron's customers would select an attractive display card with the books description and UPC code and pay for the book at check out. A unique user key would allow the purchaser to download the book to a wide range of digital platforms at his or her convenience. The retailer enjoys high margin sales that entail a minimum of shelf space and no inventory.
