Most titles are in digest form – BrassTacks BriefBooksTM-- and focus on a single contemporary topic. Some are in the form of anthologies containing contributed content from academicians, authors, consultants, coaches, bloggers, and professional experts. The publisher also recruits students as authors and contributors. Their works provides them with exposure in the job market and entitles them to special rewards for excellence. Books range in length from 25 to 250 pages.
Collaborating content providers earn valuable exposure through prominently displayed attributions, including e-mail links and URLs, which furnish them with opportunities to make connections in the business community. BE A HOST OR A PATRON
Patrons
A Patron is an individual corporation, professional practice, affinity group, trade association, or non-profit organization that financially facilitates the creation and free distribution of free print or digital books among its customers, clients, members, or prospects.
In exchange for underwriting the creation and dissemination of books, a Patron is publicly recognized by virtue of a very short, unobtrusive “institutional message” embedded in the print or digital material is has subsidized. It can appear as a logo, print tag, or audio/video message that identifies the Patron and its contact information (e.g. URP, e-mail address, telephone number, Facebook page, social media connection, etc. Because of a book’s long life and potentially global distribution, product or service advertising messages are impractical.
Patrons can also disseminate their branded publications to clients, members, or prospects through their proprietary distribution networks or retail outlets.

Patron’s can also opt to sell these print and digital publications. Each patron establishes the merchandising methodology it wishes to employ. [An example would be the sale of e-books or audio books through a retail Patrion's chain of stores. The Patiron's customers would select an attractive display card with the books description and UPC code and pay for the book at check out. A unique user key would allow the purchaser to download the book to a wide range of digital platforms at his or her convenience. The retailer enjoys high margin sales that entail a minimum of shelf space and no inventory. Given the low cost associated with such distribution, some retailers opt to provide the books as discounted or totally free “specials.” In these instances, a “customer code” provides download access to the Patron’s website or a Patroin-branded web page on the publisher’s internet portal.]
Hosts
A Host is an entity (professional association, non-profit organization, alumni group, economic development agency, publication, media outlet, or educational institution) that promotes and facilitates access to books among its constituents. eMail, Internet, and snail mail distribution are typically employed. Hosts often encourage their members, clients or students to "cook up" content for inclusion in these books. A Host can also post a re-direct link on its principal web site through which digital book downloads can be ordered via a generic “order” page. Here, too, a “customer code” can make these books available for free or at a discounted price.
