How to contribute your BrainFood

It's easy to contribute your material. You can use e-mail attachments or snail mail. Or just write or paste-in your contribution in the box at the bottom of this page. If you believe that a remote, recorded, one-on-one interview with you would allow you to present your material more effectively, let us know about your topic and your availability for a telephone interview with one of our audio producers.

Guidelines for written submissions
Content can be:
  • Created by you (Think “term paper.”)
  • Culled by you directly from another identified source. Provide a brief description or bio of the source. An e-mail address or telephone number that can be used to verify the source and the validity of the submission should also be provided.
  • Citied, summarized, or re-purposed from materials created by others. With such abstractions, give credit (author, title, and publisher of original source). Click here for tips on guidelines for researching, preparing, and writing content that does not violate other authors or producers rights.  For submitted material that has been aggregated directly from other sources, an e-mail address or telephone number should be provided so that we can verify that third-party’s agreement to use. Verbatim abstracts should comply with the Fair Use doctrine or be accompanied by permission from other original creator.
  • Summarized and paraphrased from the observations and conclusions of a recognized figure (e.g. historian, philosopher, “thinker,” pundit, etc.) if the material so sourced is relevant to the listening audience and if credit is given.
